The Garden....

This is the space we are digging up so we can have a lovely little garden, I am praying that I don't have a brown thumb but a green one!

Our Garden

This year Nate and I have made it our goal to eat healthier and teach our kids healthy eating habits. I thought it would be so much fun to start our own garden. We are starting small with some Herbs, Sweet peppers and Tomatoes. We are  patiently waiting for the seeds to sprout!

So I went to my first flea market and fell in love.... I am totally addicted! This is my first piece!  
I think I am going to paint it white and use it as a magazine holder....

Okay so here it is.. 

Step 1. paint dark brown

Step 2. Cover in crackle paint

wait until dry 

Step 3. Paint white and watch the crackle appear !

Smokey Mountains

Everyone needs a little R & R, so we took the kids and Mimi on a mini and much needed vacation to Gatlinburg, TN.

Sometimes when it has been a long day, I enjoy enjoy taking a drive through the back roads. The kids usually fall asleep with minutes and I can enjoy the silence and the scenery. Here are a couple pictures from one of my drives.

Fire Place

I am 100% sure our builder loved OAK! To bad Nate and I didn't share in that Love...

So we tore down the ugly oak and put up a new pretty white fire place , with tile in the center!

You can take the girl away from the beach, but you can't take the beach out of the girl.
